How much money can you make from your Twitter Favourites?

Swedish company Flattr is attempting to use social 'approval' buttons to allow readers to reward content producers.  Think in terms of Twitter's Favorite button or an Instagram Like. Facebook likes are not yet part of this service though.
The process is simple:
  1. Sign up to Flattr and pay in a monthly donation to your account
  2. Link up your social accounts to the service
  3. Use social as you normally do
  4. At the end of the month, your monthly donation is divided up between all the sites you liked or Favorited that month (minus 10% for Flattr)
A slight catch of course is that the blog or user you liked has to be a Flattr member as well.
Flattr is a micropayment system - more specifically, a microdonation system

Article Marketing the right way

Article marketing is a type of advertising in which businesses write short articles about themselves, their company or their field of expertise as a marketing strategy. A primary style for the articles includes a bio box and byline (collectively known as the resource box) about the business.

Article marketing is one of the most common methods employed by marketers to drive traffic to their sites because it’s very simple and can even be outsourced for a small fee. It is mainly done via article directories. Article directories with good web page ranks receive a lot of site visitors and may be considered authority sites by search engines, leading to high traffic. These directories then give PageRank to the author's website and in addition send traffic from readers. Even though many article directories have been ‘slapped’ by Google and it’s not as easy to get a first page ranking with a single article anymore, article directories are still a useful medium to drive a lot of traffic to your blog.

The primary goal behind article marketing is to get search engine traffic to the article so that the author can strengthen their authority and influence within their field, while also leveraging that traffic for their own site(s). The key to article marketing is that the author should be providing value with their articles, not just promoting their site, products or services.
