It's simple and yet very powerful

In life the most important things come so simple and easy that we nearly always fail to recognize them and to employ their potential for our own benefits. It is therefore not surprising to come across folks who have done all that they learnt and know that matters and yet are unable to reap any result. It's so pathetic to see people, and even good friends you know, give up on great ideas that could have otherwise been the 'thing of the century' had the right things been done. I have friends who left their dreams midway because they have done almost everything they know but were not successful.

One field that this phenomenon is prevalent is the internet industry. Yeah I know this because that is what I do. Be it blogging, affiliate marketing, SEO or ads selling, thousands (or should I say billions) have put their hard work and precious time (and even scarce money) into this and that, here and there but no record of success. Only few are able to make it in this huge landscape called the internet.

Is there money to be made ?

Definitely sure there is. And there are lots and lots of it. Why do I say so?... because to be successful on the internet means money. Let's face the facts.... Any business that goes online seeks to reach out to a broader horizon of prospective customers who might require their services thereby ends up buying a product or service. Internet users have increased considerably to about 2.267 billion in December 2011 and this is a 528% increase from the previous year. In the USA alone about 68% of users actually purchase products worth about $220 billion. This is projected to increase in the next few years.

Now here is the irony... Only few players in the online biz holds the door to this mass of wealth.
Let me reveal to you the reason why. It's just simple. While the bigger number who fails heap upon themselves complex and unnecessary methods the few who wins put all their effort and focus on the simple but powerful methods that yield the necessary results.

And no other phrase can express one of these simple and yet very powerful principles than the ancient saying which goes 'You reap what you sow'. You may ask what has this got to do with the internet and making money. It's got everything to do with it. Let me explain. You see, so many fail and more are bound to fail because they begin an online biz on the wrong premise, that is, to make money. They are therefore seen as money-hungry, I-want-to-empty-your-wallet businesses by most visitors. This scares off customers and prospects.

Let's see what the big guys do. They identify the need of their visitors and then offer help in attaining those needs. This is a very simple but very powerful concept that has been successfully implemented by successful internet marketers and bloggers as well and have reaped huge rewards. Instead of trying make people buy your product, make the visitor the focus of your site or blog. That is why it is so important to know your audience. Let your site engage your visitor's interest by showing concern for their needs.

Now here is the trick. Help your visitors solve their problems and in the end they will help you solve your problem too (make money), directly or indirectly. This is where the principle of sowing and reaping comes in ....... you see? Knowing your visitors is a very important step in this concept.
